Skin was Tobias Hills stunning first collection of stories. The long title story, Skin, explores the Japanese underworld - an expansive tale of tattoos and acid and murder. In No One Comes Back from the Sea a young father cant eradicate the ghostly memories of his little twins who have died; in Honeymoon in Los Angeles, two Japanese newlyweds experience an early souring of their relationship; in Brolly a group of young children dare each other in a game of depravity while their parents sip drinks under parasols. These are stories which are fresh, incisive and innovative.
